The city of Largo officials turned an old landfill into a nature preserve with the intention of providing a forum for environmental education. However, a report from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection suggests that the city may have not done enough to protect the public. Now, Largo officials are working with the state to ensure that the park is safe for visitors.
